Paul Sauer
Paul is an innovative, results-oriented senior management professional with 30 years of solid experience in aviation. As owner of TATE Aviation Services, Inc., he provides comprehensive, independent on-site technical representation for business aircraft undergoing interior outfitting, major maintenance or modification. This includes evaluation of technical specifications, project contracts, project designs, cost estimates, outfitters capabilities, conformity and quality inspections, pre-delivery inspections and final acceptance.
Prior to TATE Aviation Services, Paul was an Executive Vice President/General Manager at K-C Aviation. He directed and controlled all operations at the Appleton and Westfield facilities to meet profit objectives with 350 employees, $51 million in sales, a $7 million capital budget, and $4 million in inventory. Paul also ensured FAA relationships and regulations were maintained in engineering data, STC approvals, repair station concerns, QC and QA control procedures, and interior certifications. Always maintaining high levels of customer and employee satisfaction and consistent interaction with customers and employees, Paul was accountable for quality work in shops and hangars, customer and vendor relations, billing, financial reporting, adherence to internal control and code of conduct programs. Earlier in his career, Paul was a Challenger Field Service Representative and a Gulfstream Flight Mechanic in Saudi Arabia for a GII. In addition to holding his A&P license, Paul was a designated Mechanic Examiner for the FAA.
Paul's excellent skills in communications, leadership, troubleshooting and motivation support him as he effectively interacts with staff, customers and executive management. He has regularly interfaced with numerous company CEOs and high-level management in business aircraft sales, contract negotiations and business transactions. Paul has experience with Bombardier, Gulfstream, Raytheon, and Falcon Dassault product lines.
Paul has experience with assimilation of company goals/objectives involving the analysis and administration of operational procedures, annual budgets, contract negotiation and future projections. He maintains high employee expectations in workplace safety, efficiency, cost control, profitability, quality issues and customer satisfaction. Always a team player with the ability to consistently provide high level, systematic standards of performance, Paul is results-oriented, comfortable with bottom line P/L responsibilities. He has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, team building, organizational development and staff enhancement.
Paul was a helicopter gunner in the US Army, serving in Viet Nam. He is a member of the NBAA and a past member of the Board of Directors for ERDA.
